An opportunity has arisen for a competent Office Administrator to perform various administrative and clerical tasks to support a growing business in Launceston, Devon. You will undertake a variety of activities in the office ranging from filing and answering the phone, to basic bookkeeping.

 

The successful Administrator will have the ability to work diligently to help maintain smooth operations. You must be reliable and hardworking with great communication and problem-solving skills. Along with a salary of £19,000 per annum, you will also receive free parking, a pension scheme and holiday entitlement.

 

As an Office Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

 

Maintaining files and records so they remain accurate, updated and easily accessible.Sorting, checking and distributing incoming deliveries to workers.Processing work orders, closing jobs and creating invoices.Assisting works managers in preparing and circulating weekly work schedules.Answering the phone to take messages or redirecting calls to appropriate colleagues.Supporting work managers with day-to-day administrative tasks.Utilising Office 365 applications to create and maintain paperless filing systems.Monitoring stock of supplies and reporting when there are shortages.Assisting in making arrangements and booking jobs in for construction and maintenance teams.

We are looking for an Office Administrator who has the following skills and experiences:

Proven experience in the same role or other clerical position.Familiarity with office procedures and basic accounting principles.IT literacy and working knowledge of devices and processes.Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Excel and Outlook.Experience in using paperless filing systems in Windows and Office 365.Strong communication skills.Sage knowledge is desirable although not essential as training may be given.
