Food & Beverage Manager Full-Time | Lynmouth, North Devon | £32,500 – £35,000 + Tips | Live-in Option Available
Job Summary: We’re looking for a creative and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead operations across a small group of independent hospitality venues in Lynmouth, North Devon. This is a full-time, permanent role offering £32,500–£35,000 + tips, live-in accommodation option, and genuine creative input into food, drink, and service. Ideal for someone with strong bar and food knowledge, leadership skills, and a hands-on, forward-thinking approach.
The Opportunity Quartz Hospitality Recruitment is proud to represent a distinctive hospitality group based on the beautiful North Devon coast. This is a rare chance to take the reins as a Food & Beverage Manager across multiple independent venues – each with its own identity, style, and loyal customer base.
You’ll be part of a tight-knit, supportive leadership team and trusted to drive forward the food and drink operation with autonomy, creativity, and a commercial mindset.
What You’ll Do This role combines day-to-day leadership with strategic input. You’ll oversee:
Front and back of house operations Stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships Bar and restaurant service – with strong product knowledge and hands-on support Staff training, rota planning, and team development Menu creation and promotions – bring fresh, creative ideas Event and function support, including weddings and seasonal offerings Cost control and GP management Use of hospitality systems such as Zonal, Micros, Newbridge (or similar) Uphold standards in service, hygiene, and compliance
What We’re Looking For
2+ years’ experience in a food and beverage, restaurant, bar, or pub management role Strong understanding of both FOH and BOH operations Proven ability to lead by example – visible, proactive, and always setting the tone A confident people manager who trains and supports their team Experience with stock systems, costing, GP, and supplier negotiation Tech-savvy with working knowledge of systems like Zonal, Micros, Newbridge or similar Creative thinker with experience in menu development and event planning Adaptable, commercially aware, and forward-thinking Personal licence and food hygiene certification desirable but not essential
