About the Role
Job Title: Head Chef

Salary: Up to £45k per annum
Quartz Recruitment are seeking experienced and passionate Head Chefs to join their clients' dynamic teams in North Devon. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen, creating innovative and delicious dishes, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the kitchen team
- Plan and create menus that reflect current trends and seasonal produce
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure top quality
- Maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen
- Manage inventory and control costs
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent culinary skills and creativity
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills

About You
This role would suit:
• A college leaver with an administration based qualification, or
• Someone with previous office administration experience who is looking for a stable, long term position
You will ideally have:
• A confident telephone manner and strong communication skills
• Good attention to detail and organisational ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
