Temporary School Cleaner

Location: Barnstaple
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Duration: Temporary – approximately 4–6 weeks
Start: Immediate

Quartz Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for Temporary School Cleaners to support the day‑to‑day upkeep of a school environment in Barnstaple. This is a short‑term assignment with the opportunity to support an essential service within a well‑established setting.

Available Shifts:

• 1 position: Monday to Friday, 3.30pm – 6.30pm
• 1 position: 3 shifts per week, days negotiable

Main Duties:

• Individually or as part of a team, carry out cleaning duties to ensure required cleanliness standards are met across the school.
• Assist with the movement of furniture and movable fittings as required.
• Ensure premises are made secure if requested.
• Replenish cleaning consumables when required.
• Participate in training necessary to carry out duties effectively.
• Report any building or equipment defects to the Premises Supervisor.
• Observe all health and safety requirements during cleaning operations.
• Carry out any other similar duties as reasonably requested.

About You:

• Previous cleaning experience and knowledge of COSHH is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• You will be reliable, conscientious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• You must be able to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
